So I'm back to CS, having deleted my profile in 2019 after sporadically using the application for more than 10 years.
I'm hoping Corona gives new life to the original concept proposed by CS; That people from different countries, different origins and different backgrounds could come together and share an authentic moment of human interaction, openness and hospitality as they travel and try to discover and learn about new cultures not from cheap touristic guides but from genuine people and experiences.
It was hard to stay faithful to CS as I saw this being deformed into a "Free" AirBnB for some, with urgent requests like "looking for a place, maximum 5 minutes walk from Tour Eiffel" or others who confused it for a dating website.
Looking forward to meeting all of you out there who adhere to the original idea of Couchsurfing!
