About Me

Helloo, my Name is Gabriel, I study psychology and since two years I'm living in Freiburg which has been super exciting :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A huge priority in my life right now is to start traveling. I really want to push myself out of my comfort zone and do things that somewhat scare me. For example tramping somewhere, visiting more remote countries, traveling alone and of course couchsurfing - admittedly couchsurfing being the least frightening :D

In addition, I simply like meeting new people and learning more about them and their way of living - this has been incredibly valuable and a lot of fun for me. Also, I love the idea of strangers helping each other out and being kind towards each other - that's just cool.

Music, Movies, and Books

Currently, I love listening to "Inside In / Inside Out" by The Kooks and "When We Were Friends" by The Backseat Lovers - both are incredible albums from start to finish. My all time favourite Series has to be Avatar The Last Airbender (it's a masterpiece). The last film that really resonated with me was call me by your name (made me want to travel back in time to Italy in 1987). My favourite book right know is probably "Stoner" by John Williams but like most favourite things this will change with time I suppose :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most valuable experience for me, was moving out of my hometown in north Germany to Freiburg in south Germany to study psychology there. I met so many new people who inspired me and gave me dozens of new perspectives on all kinds of things. Many of them are passionate travelers and definitely had a huge influence on my wish to go on my own adventures. I'm super grateful for all the experiences I made so far and it has simply been a super fun time.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My friends tell me that I can get enthusiastic about more or less any activity so if your interested in doing things together we will definitely find something to do! Also, I could cook something nice for you or teach you some german basics. I'm taking my skateboard with me so we could go skating (I'm still a beginner though :D).
