Hello/Hola/Bonjour!
My name is Gabriel, and I'm a 20-year-old student from Toronto, Canada. I'm a student at the University of Toronto Faculty of Music, where I study classical music (which I am limitlessly passionate about). I am a piano teacher, barista, and I also work at the University of Toronto Faculty of Music.

I have experience working in day camps and summer camps for children living in underprivileged areas, teaching them leadership skills with the help of a grant from the government of Canada.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm interested in improving my French, which hovers at around an advanced level. I'd also love to participate in any musical or artistic ventures in Europe, as I love the cultures here. I like to meet people, let's get coffee!

Music, Movies, and Books

I study classical music (so I listen to music written by dead people, mostly), but I like almost anything!

My favourite film is Spirited Away, hands down. If you haven't seen any Miyazaki movies, we need to talk.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have plenty of experience teaching and working with children and adults alike. I have taught English, piano, music theory, and strings instruments (violin, viola, cello, contrabass). I've also co-conducted the Toronto CDSB Youth Orchestra for two years, which mostly consists of students of around 15 years of age.

I've also worked in concert production, marketing and promotion, customer service, mail delivery, cafe and food services, and have played in over a dozen orchestras and musical ensembles.

I hope I can somehow be of service.
