About Me
Hello everybody, my name is Gabriel Debia, and I´am 30. I´m from São Paulo, Brazil.
I worked as a journalist and as a copywriter for ten years or so, but music was always my true love. So I decided to change things a little and do the right thing: go for it. =)
In order to get all the knowledge I need to become a pro i decided to focus on my instrument at first, wich is guitar, and I will study both acoustic and aletric blues in Chicago.
I will arrive in january in New York and I would love to stay a little before I hit the road again, and thats exactly where the couch surfing part comes in.
So people from NY, can we talk? =)

Music, Movies, and Books
Jimi Hendrix, Cream, the old bluesmen from mississipi, Sonic Youth, Nirvana, Ty Segall. And Jazz. Stanley Kubric Movies, San Raimi and Peter Jackson´sTerror Movies, and, mainly, funny trashy stuff just for laughing (with pizza). Irvine Welsh´s books like Scagboys, Trainspoting and Porno, Bukowski and Hemingway.
And Baskiat. I love his art.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Actually I´m selling the home i lived for 30 years (and everything inside it) to see the world, see what happens, and play music.
Teach, Learn, Share
Besides working as a journalist, I always gave music classes ´cause my stepfather was a muician and had a music school. We could learn a song, why not? =)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Well, I´m an easy going person, funny, respectful and happy (a very important thing). I would love to know NY a little, and i can assure I´d be someone kinda nice to hang around. =)
