About Me

I'm a young law student, I love learning about people, arts, humanities and sciences. I like to think of myself as open minded and tolerant. I enjoy a good conversation, drinks, music and reading. Whenever I travel, I enjoy walking and trying to get to understand the real and personal parts of the place (I avoid commercial tourism). I'll eat and drink almost anything, specially if it's local. Not very good at cooking but learning and getting better. I try to keep my stuff organized without being an order freak. I smoke from time to time, depending on the season. Bars>clubs, definitely.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

Rock (classic, indie, hard, progressive, alternative and so on), but I've experimented with salsa, jazz and classical. Books, I enjoy mostly short stories (Philip K. Dick, Borges, Quiroga, Ribeyro, F.S. Fitzgerald, Kafka) and some classical (modern or otherwise) for novels: Frankenstein, 1984, 100 years of solitude). I haven't seen that much of artsy cinema, but I enjoy Nolans and Tarantinos very much, oh and Fight Club.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was at a tran station in Prague, a very polite young adult approached me. I told him I didn't speak any czech, and he tried his best with english. He sat next to me (I was sitting) and told me how he was having a very rough time, went on to say he lived on the streets and asked me for a coin. I told him y would if he shared a bit of himself, and he agreed happily, and explained how he had been born in Africa, but never knew his parents, as he was adopted by a family in London. He told me how he grew up there and had a hard but decent living, and how he came to lose everything in the Czech Republic, and then struggling to get his papers and go search for his biological parents. We had a cigarette at the station's gate, and continued talking for almost half an hour. It was a great human experience. His name is Michael.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't quite get what goes in here :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can always share some story, I think I can be a nice conversation, can cook some local dishes from my country. I'm very independent and easy going too, and hate being too much of a load.
