About Me

This is a joint account for my wife (Lauren) and me. We are both young professionals who decided to put our career lives on hold to pursue our passion of travel. We enjoy travelling to meet new and interesting people, explore new cultures and taste the delicious foods from around the globe. We made a promise to always love adventure and try to visit a new country or place every year. We have kept true to this since we met and are furthering this promise through our current journey.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My wife (Lauren) and I are travelling the world for the next 10 months and looking to take in the culture of the places we visit. We have found that speaking with and interacting with locals is the best way to get a true feel for a country and culture. Couchsurfing is a perfect way to do just that!

Interests

I love to travel and take in new cultures through talking with people, photographing the experiences I encounter and of course enjoying the delicious foods of the world. I enjoy camping, hiking and anything related to nature, but do also love to get absorbed into cities of the world and see the daily hustle and bustle of a new place.

While traveling I will also be volunteering along the way to get a closer look into local life and give back in whatever small way I am able.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We spent a month in Ladakh (Northern India) living with a local family and teaching English to 16 young Buddhist Monks at Lamayuru Monastery. It was a most amazing experience to live in a village from the 10th century and help with the harvest to prepare for the harsh Himalayan winter.

We put our careers on hold to travel the world and volunteer for 10 months! Enjoy the Journey!
