Overview
About Me
I grew up in Southern California but am originally from Peru. I have lived abroad in Chile, Peru and Bolivia and traveled quite a bit in Latin America and a bit in Europe. I have never Couchsurfed, however I lived in Peru with a Cousin who hosted Couchsurfers - always a good time! I have been living in Los Angeles for the past few years, working in the craft beer industry, for both a Mexico based independent brewery and a local one. I love the craft beer community and am fascinated with the craft beer explosion in Mexico and across Latin America. I plan to document my journey to Patagonia and the stories of the many breweries I will be visiting along the way. I also love outdoors adventures, anything involving hiking, biking or ocean!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have been planning to cycle from California to Patagonia for some time now, and finally decided to quit the job and go for it! I am giving myself 1 year to pedal from Santa Barbara, California to Tierra del Fuego, Patagonia. I am setting off this month (January 2017 - a couple days from writing this) and plan to camp, stay with friends, do some hostelling, and hopefully meet many great couch surfers and hosts along the way! If you are into the local beer scene, I would love to meet up for a cerveza and chat about what beer means to you and your community.

Teach, Learn, Share
If you have a bike that needs some work, I’m happy to fix it up or teach you how! Also happy to pitch in however I can - definitely no problem with a bit of manual labor! I also love cooking - and learning to cook, I always try to collect a few local recipes, and share some of my go tos.
