Overview
About Me
My favorite things to do back at home (Florida) are to Surf, and Scubadive. I do scientific diving and am a divemaster. I love hearing people's stories and connecting with their culture. I really like studying seaweed, fungi, and all things environmental. I am very outdoorsy and like difficult hikes in beautiful places, and going off the beaten path and camping.
I eat completely plant based (vegan). I am happy to help in the kitchen, buy groceries and bring my own food.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to get to know places naturally and culturally beyond what acting as a tourist would allow. I love seeing different ways of life and learning skills from people. I want to help the environment and study environmental and marine science in college. To best know how I want to help, gaining multiple perspectives and diverse experiences is my goal for my gap year. I love biking, hiking, running, and relaxing.
Music, Movies, and Books
I really like indie music, nature documentaries, and Friends
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have done 100 dives spending more than 3 days fully underwater diving in environments from 42 degrees fahrenheit (5.5C) to 90F (32C) in kelp forests, megalodon fossil beds, lakes, coral and artificial reefs and coral restoration farms.
Teach, Learn, Share
I do a lot of photography and am getting more into videography and will be studying art at some capacity in school.
What I Can Share with Hosts
