About Me

I`m a young-man slowly unfolding life while learning about myself and this world in each and every moment. I am from Brazil, with Lebanese and Italian roots, but I am currently moving between the Netherlands (Groningen) and Greece (Lesbos) for my masters in Spatial Sciences/Geography (under a specially research track in Islands and Sustainability). I try to attain a richer, slower and more beautiful way of living each and every day while deeply appreciating the enormous joy of wandering around with my heart beating strong and my eyes smiling with every new landscape and every new person met.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because through platforms based on solidarity economy, we get to experience better not only the country/city we are visiting, but we also get to know the life-styles, histories and the roots of each place in a more real and compassionate way, exchanging knowledge and affection and getting the chance to open our doors and receive open doors around the world as well.

Interests

I love hiking and exploring outdoors and I have also been a ceramics practicioner for some time now, having worked with it for the past 2 years, but taking it onwards as hobby and love. In my academic life, I have some special interests in migration, tourism, decolonial studies and sustainability/degrowth.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I experienced an earthquake in a small village on the fringes of Atacama desert. It was followed by a complete regional blackout and, as I walked out of the house, I saw the most beautiful nightsky I have ever witnessed

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe cultural and interpersonal exchange are the most empowering and essencial things in our lives. There is always something to learn and to teach. It can be technical, language related, emotional, sensitive.
I`m up to learn anything new and teach whatever is suitable. Or, of corse, to just spend a nice and chill time in good company. :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can always teach a little bit of my language, cook nourishing meals, share stories, help with cleaning, building, offer amateur massages and friendliness :)
