About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm from Costa Rica, 25 y/o in my body, but I feel older in my experience. I'm a calm and quiet person. However I enjoy a lot having new experiences, knowing places and traveling. I like to treat others the way I would like to be treated and respect is my highest value. I'm still finding my place in the world but I know it is related with helping people through art.

PHILOSOPHY

After several youth harsh emotional revolutions I came to understand that I am not going to save the world, but I sure want to make it better, even if that is for one single person. Breaking the system, at least in our minds, finding happiness within ourselves. Be gratefull with everything you live, and with everyone you meet. Love. Follow love into to the darkest places, it might hurt, but it will never be wrong. Sarcasm is my way to ramain sane while surrounded by inhumanity. Everything works together to produce our highest selves. I have more than what I need, let me live to give more than what I have.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Iv'e surfed alot through USA, but that time is past so now I'm opening a couch in Costa Rica.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I experienced couchsurfing while doing a volunteer program in Michigan. It was amazing! I had to travel together with my other teammates to different states for fundrasing and we couchsurfed all the time. To St. Louis, Atlanta, Indianapolis, Grand Rapids, Detroit, etc. After that I decided that as soon as I got back home I would open my doors for other couchsurfers in return to the great hosting that I experienced.

Music, Movies, and Books

- Music: I love music, underground (unknown artists), old classic rock, metal, celtic, ethnic, electronic, jazz, blues, any kind except those you see on the top media.
- Books: I enjoy a good book, but I'm not a dedicated reader. I read moslty latin american novels and theater.
- Movies: Hollywood is predictable and not very interesting for me, however independant movies are amazing. European and latin movies tell great stories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I worked in rural Mozambique for 6 months as part of a volunteer program, that opened my eyes in many ways. Backpacking western Europe with my two best friends was an adventure I still laugh about. Acting in a stage is mindblowing. Bungee jumping gave me the highest adrenaline rush ever. Loved and be loved.

Teach, Learn, Share

- Spirituality: Even though I do not study or practice any religion, God and Love are fundamental for me. I have gone through very difficult emotional states and overcomed them myself by reading, meditating and looking for meaning and purpose. I've come to meet many people that like me share the feeling that we are not from this planet in the sense that it is so difficult to understand and life might seem pointless. Right now I have stepped a little away from meditating and focused more on living, for I got an understanding of God that allows me to be at peace (I do get mad and excited and sad and furious at some times, I'm human). This is a topic I am passionate about. I also love roleplaying games, acting gives me lots of joy.
- A beautiful country: Costa Rica is an amazing place to travel and get deep contact with nature. I know several places where people can visit and have a great experience. Let me share my home with you.
- Learn to live: Let me hear how life has brought you here, what are your dreams? how many have you achieved? how?
