I am Gabriel, from Brazil! If you are reading this, I hope you are having a nice day!

Let me start by saying that I am terrible at writing about myself, so this is probably gonna be bad :)

I am 23 and currently work at an airport on ground services. I really like aviation, movies, music and meeting people. I recently moved to São Paulo to start a new job, and I think that Couchsurfing is a great way to know more people and make travels easier for everyone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that the best way to see a city is by getting to know the locals. They know how the city works, you have the opportunity to see their routine and they always know secret spots to visit which you won't find in travel guides.

Also, besides visiting the tourists spots, I like to know what the people who actually live in the city think about it and how they do stuff. Even though all cities have a lot in common, they all have particularities which only locals can describe.

Couchsurfing provides all these chances, with a lot of nice people.

Interests

Aviation is for sure my biggest interest. I can't even remember for how long I've wanted to a pilot. I can't help but look whenever I hear an airplane flying above me.

Besides that, I like cycling (except climbing big hills), watching movies, listening to music. I love being with friends, doesn't really matter doing what, as long as it's good company.

I really like travelling, even though my budget doesn't help me a lot on doing it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I find hard to describe my musical taste. Whenever I listen to a song that I like, I search for its name and save it. Looking at my songs list there's some of everything. What I listen depends a lot on the situation.

Movies - Apollo 13, L'Auberge Espagnole, The Terminal, The Martian, Saving Private Ryan, Toy Story, Stepbrothers, Harry Potter, The Shawshank Redemption, Forrest Gump, Up, The Basketball Diaries

I also like TV Series - Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Friends, Breaking Bad, The Office, Orange is the New Black, Band of Brothers, House of Cards...

Books - Being honest, I don't read a lot, but my favorite books were from the Harry Potter series. I read some Dan Brown books and enjoyed a lot. I recently read The Innocent by David Baldacci and liked it a lot.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taking my parents and brother for a ride on a small airplane. It was an awesome feeling.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach my language (Portuguese), airplane stuff, share some of Brazilian culture/history, cook or at least try to cook some typical foods from my country and my my company to hang out, talk or go somewhere.
