About Me

Uncomplicated, spontaneous, most of the time in a good mood and naive (sometimes a bit too much).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Had great experiences with locals so far (both as host and as guest), definitely want more of them!

Interests

I'm a little workaholic to be honest :-)
Mostly working on a project enabling barrier-free emergency communication (https://www.dec112.at/en), currently focusing on emergency calls for deaf people and victims of physical violence.

In my free-time I like making music (drums, baritone, guitar), meeting up with friends, visiting new places and good food (both cooking and eating of course!). I'm also volunteering for the Red Cross (at a social grocery store) and volunteering for BRAVEAURORA, an NGO that focuses on child-protection and socio-economic development in Ghana. Actually I've already lived in Ghana for quite some time and worked on-site with our team. Apart from that I love to go on hikes, especially on mountains.

I really love debates and discussions about how we as a species can live a good life and what has to be done to improve the status quo.

Music, Movies, and Books

Musikkapelle Wernstein (our local brass band) of course ;)
Swing, Jazz, sometimes Electro, Alternative, Funk.

Don't ask me about movies or series, I know nuts about it as I don't have a TV :-)
However, I love listening to podcasts (TED and local stuff).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Met a girl at the prom of my cousin and visited her 3 months later at her home in Germany (she lives 700km away). We're a couple since then for more than 6 years already.

Having lived and worked in Ghana for more than 5 months.

Standing directly in front of the crater of Etna (and of course climbing it).

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to share my cooking, guitar and drumming skills (maybe programming skills as well?) and what's more, dancing, talking/discussing about everything!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good food (my cooking skills are really decent!), programming lessons, making music together and some deep conversations about...well...everything.

Countries I’ve Visited
