Hey,
I am Gabriel, 20 years old. Since October 2022 i am studying environmental science in Freiburg. I finished school in 2021 nearby Würzburg, in the north of Bavaria in Germany. After graduation i enjoyed my gained freedom by doing a bicycle tour from south of Germany to Bilbao. A few months later in October 2021 i left to Ghana for almost a year where I did a voluntary service in a school for almost one year. During this time, apart from getting to know another culture I also learned a lot about myself and the opportunities in life, we can be really greatful for.
It also motivated me to study environmental science to protect the variety of landscapes, animals and cultures we have on earth. Am very open to get to know other people and have enriching experiences or talks together.

I am studying now the Wintersemester in Madrid, because I want to get to know spanish culture and I heard that the city is quite vibrant and international, let's see what I will experience!
My room in Freiburg is free until October, so if you don't find anything I could arrange a stay with my roommates since I am not there anymore.

Connecting with people to get a little cultural insight while traveling or through hosting, and just to have a fun time together.

Interests

I do a lot of different sports: biking, running, swimming, hiking, a little bit of surfing etc.
I love music and played trumpet for some time
I love to travel, especially the unexpected experiences of it.
In the last few years, I have thought more about philosophical questions.
(Thinking about alternative more sustainable lifestyles, how the world should change to achieve justice and so that we will live in harmony with nature and other people, how to achieve true happiness in life etc.)
