Overview
About Me
I've lived most of my life in Hawaii and Japan. I am half black and half Japanese, so people call me Blasian :) I just graduated from the United States Military Academy in New York. About to head to Vienna, Austria for my Master's.
I'd like to think I'm pretty organized and planned out, but ,in reality, I'm a spontaneous and random person by heart. I love to explore places and engage myself in different cultures.
In short, I just don't want to waste my life sitting at home watching life go by. Give me an opportunity to experience something new; I'll be stupid not to take it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In June 2018, I was traveling through Europre for about 2 months. My brother, who has done couchsurfing before, told me to give couchsurfing a try.
Basically, being open to new experiences, I just said "Why Not." I don't want to travel through a country through only being a tourist. What I really want is to meet other people, make friends, and try different things whether it's a new food or a new dance move at the club.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: My favorite song right now is Sleep on The Floor from the Lumineers. It's an year or two old, but I still jam to it pretty hard. It's one of the most calm and soothing songs I've listened to. However, I generally listen to any type of music; Alternative, Hip Hop, EDM, Rock, Rap, Classical, Jazz, you name it.
The Lumineers, Coldplay, Kanye West, Foster the People, Childish Gambino, J Cole, Greenday, 30 Seconds to Mars, Kaskade, Valentino Khan, David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Hiatus Kaiyote, Banks (See I told you generally anything!)
Movies: Gran Torino, Interstellar, Inglorious Bastards, Superbad, Django
Books: Kind of embarrassed to say, but I'm not too much of a reading fan. However, I still do have some favorite reads : Flowers from Algernon, 1984, Hatchet
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Most Amazing thing I've done . . . I really wouldn't know where to begin on this one. It's hard to narrow down, but I guess one out of the amazing things I've done is partying on top a roof top at New York City. Imagine being in the middle of the night city surrounded by lights as you and your friends listen to newest hit song and sing along. It's honestly just one of the best feelings in the world. Basically, it's surreal.
Another pretty awesome thing was attending the International Cadet Conference at the National Defence Academy in Japan. It was just amazing to meet cadets from over 27 other countries and make friends with them.
Teach, Learn, Share
Back in Hawaii, I'm pretty confident with body boarding and kayaking, so I can definitely teach that. I also know where the good snorkeling spots are at. Also, I'm fluent in Japanese so I can teach people a new language if they are up to it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Help with the house, a lesson in Japanese, help with cooking, whatever you need I'll do my best to help. (I will do something to help you regardless of whether you want me to or not. I feel like it's rude not to help with anything). I can also share some interesting stories of my time in Hawaii, Japan, or college at New York.
