Hello!! I’m Gabriel Vargas, Brazilian currently living in Frankfurt, Germany. After almost 2 years in France, completing my Masters on International Cooperation for Development, I found a job in Germany. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Don’t get me wrong, I like nature, I like see the nature, but my kind of travel is for the people, for the culture, for the history. There is no better place to know this as a local house!

Interests

I'm interested in knowing the cities better with locals, know better the history (the subject that interest me the most), taste the local food (although I don't eat seafood). The local music also. I thing traveling is not just knowing the place, but also the people and their culture!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am up to every kind of music. Normally I would say I am a classical rocker (Beatles, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin), but lately I am all about Brazilian music (Samba, Funk, etc.).
Now I am more into series then movies, but if you ask what kind of movies I like the most I will say “every Tarantino movie”

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Normally every trip for me is memorable, but I would say that one image that has never left my mind is when I first saw The Treasury in Petra, Jordan. I needed to go there to know that actually it was my dream to see it… it is wonderful!
