About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to go around the world as much as possible.

ABOUT ME

Hello everyone !
I was born and raised in Paris, where I attended an international school, which put me in contact with various cultures and languages and shaped the person that I am today.
I hate to impose myself on others and am respectful of anyone's traditions, beliefs or just habits.

PHILOSOPHY

"There is no use worrying about things over which you have no control, and if you have control, you can do something about them instead of worrying."

- Stanley C. Allyn

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing has basically no downsides, which is something very rare and valuable. You meet new people, experience cities in an amazing new light through the eyes or your hosts. The only currency used is friendship and sharing, which sets the example of how our world should be! I've made great friends and encounters on Couchsurfing. Thank you!

Interests

My major interests include photography, technology, (I am a little bit of a geek, I have to admit... but nothing out of the ordinary :p) and travelling. I currently spend most of my time taking photos (mainly film at the moment), scanning, and working on various photographic projects.

Music, Movies, and Books

All Quentin Tarantino movies, old and ridiculous sci-fi (with second degree), french comedy classics. I listen to and enjoy pretty much any type of music from the Wu-Tang to Beethoven.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most recent life changing event that I can think of is my moving to London, from Paris. I have met wonderful people, forged long lasting friendships, and finally feel like a profesional photographer. My practice has matured a lot, and I enjoy studying like never before.
Another event that was wonderful was my trip to Japan in 2009. Even though I had traveled to this beautiful country, staying in a guesthouse helped me meet new people that changed my way of traveling for ever.
I have now lived in China for more than a year and a half, and plan on staying there! It is a land of discovery, of the country but also of the self. China whipped me into growing up!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my skills with film and digital photography, and computer related issues in general. I can help with english to non-english speakers and french. I love a little chat about sociology too.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A crash course in photography, film or digital. A bit of English or French lessons, and basics in Japanese or Chinese! I enjoy a bit of conversation on whatever topic, and I am flexible (I don't get into arguments over small things).
I have a habit of cooking Japanese food, but on the mainland have also learned a few tricks, inspired by east Chinese cuisine! I can also cook French food of course.
All of this comes without the usual ego of a Frenchman...
