About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Actively trying to understand your point of view. Learn about new places, ideas and projects.

ABOUT ME

I have completed a degree in philosophy, so at least I know how ignorant I am :)

Seasonal worker planting trees in the summer, studying the rest of the year, traveling if I have time.

Ready to get stupid if I feel bored, wild or think it's an opportunity to get to know people. Which means I hardly say no to parties :0

Would love to be part of projects that empower local communities around the globe. I welcome opportunities to question my perspective and learn from others.

I hate having habits and know what to expect. I try to live randomly.

I think I'm quite weird, and I like it that way. I want to be different and feel like I might bring something new to this world. Artists absolutely fascinate me.

PHILOSOPHY

Epistemology:
Knowledge is made of a web of connected dots that represent assumptions, themselves being justified by links to other assumptions. There is no basic knowledge supporting the rest, only interconnected dots that work and make sense as a system together. I should read more about cognitive dissonance.

Political philosophy:
Many privileges exist, which give access to even more privileges and render concepts such as justice nonoperational. Knowing about those gives us the responsibility to break them. Respect and cooperation is only achievable through equality, from which emanates friendship. To centralize often mean to dehumanize or to oversimplify. Yes to locally-based projects, actions and empowerment.

Ethics:
Woah, tough one. Let's talk about it.

Ontology:
Monist, although I believe unpredictable patterns emerge from certain dispositions of matters, time and experience, such as consciousness. Man is an element of nature, and is certainly not above it.

On freedom:
We are only free in the way we are unique, and therefore we make our own mind about issues, even though these opinions are severely, if not completely, influenced by our constitution and our environment.

I also like this quote: The maturity of man lies in the seriousness he puts in games as a child. (Nietzsche)
