Overview
About Me
I am a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer living on the peninsula of Metangula, on the shores of Lake Niassa/Malawi. I teach chemistry at the local secondary school and spend most of my free time on the lake.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love sharing life with others, and sincerely believe that meeting people from all walks is what truly makes the world a beautiful place to live in.
Interests
I'm a bit of a science geek with a serious travel bug but I'll also occasionally listen to One Direction, decide what you will with that information.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like good music, that can range anywhere from Drake to The Eagles, Arctic Monkeys to Odesza, Earth Wind and Fire to The Avett Brothers. I like documentaries and I'll read anything once, even if it is Twilight.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Skinny dipped in Lake Malawi at midnight for New Years.
Teach, Learn, Share
You will never find a more joyful, patient and forgiving people than those in Mozambique. Also, I once got drugged in Prague, don't let men buy you drinks in Eastern Europe.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A straw mat, an indoor bathroom with a dump flush and no running water, and mediocre Mozambican dishes cooked by yours truly.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Bahamas, Belgium, Brazil, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, England, France, Germany, Italy, Malawi, Mozambique, Netherlands, Senegal, South Africa, Swaziland, Trinidad and Tobago, United Kingdom, United States, Venezuela
