ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Minnesota. Ever since I was young, my family traveled annually to a new county. After studying abroad in London and solo traveling around Europe for two months, I knew I wanted to live and work abroad long term. I lived in Taipei, Thailand, Nepal, Israel and South Africa. I spent substantial amount of time traveling throughout Southeast Asia either motorbiking, scuba diving or living amongst the locals. Most people would describe me as open, friendly and adventures. I believe beauty is everywhere.

Life is short. Change is not only inevitable, but important. Learn from every experience and person you meet.

During my time in Asia, I stayed with some awesome hosts, been to a variety of biking and hiking events around Taipei as well as hosted.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I learned about CS on my way to the airport to begin my solo backpacking trip across Europe. The couple told me how incredible CS was and I was so excited to begin. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to CS during my two month trip because of limited computer access. However, a year later, when I started a new life in Taiwan and had my first CS experience in Hualien (east coast of Taiwan). I've also been to a few CS events in Taiwan. CS has been such a great community to meet so many people from all over the world. I'm so excited to continue discovering the world with CS and sharing our stories : )

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing sight I have ever seen was in Brazil/Argentina at the Igazzu Falls. It was an incredible sight and I hope everyone has a chance to go there in their life! =) One of the most amazing things I have done was coaststeering in Wales. It was the most thrilling experience and now it's one of my favorite sports!

We all have something to share. It's great to teach others about our culture and personal talents. I believe we all can learn something from one another if we are open and willing to listen.
