My name is Gabriela, but most people call me Gabi or Gabby. I was born in Sao Jose dos Campos which is one hour away from the big Sao Paulo, lived there for only 2 years, moved to Suzano and then to Sao Jose do Rio Preto when I was seven years old. I consider my home Sao Jose do Rio Preto where my family and friends are.
My family moved from city to city because of my Dad that was a professional basketball player so I can say I was born and raised at a gym court. My dad is a basketball coach now. And I became a Volleyball player.
I always wanted to move out of my parents house to explore the world and to play volleyball. I went to college in Bauru which is two hours away from home to study Physical Education and play volleyball. On the third semester, in 2008, I got a offer to go play volleyball in the United States with full scholarship. Lived in the USA for four year playing volleyball and got my degree in Business Management.
My dream was to play professional volleyball in Italy, I tried but I got injured on my knee so I gave up volleyball, got back to Brazil in 2012 and started working at a School at the finance department. Today I am the Finance and Administrative director of the school.
in 2016 I graduated in Physical Education and for the future I plan on getting a Master degree in Sports Management.
On my daily basis I work, go to the gym and play volleyball. On the weekends I like to have some drinks with friends, take short trips to get close to the nature and to play some more volleyball.
