Hello everyone, my name is Gabriele, I'm 28 years old, I come from Turin (Italy) and I live since June in Daugavpils, Latvia. I studied Linguistic Mediation in my city and now I work abroad.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since I live in Latvia I would like to travel and to see the places which are around me: Estonia, Lithuania, Scadinavia, Poland and discover their people, their culture, their food, their languages... EVERYTHING.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: I love Italian and eastern European literatures in general, especially Russian (just think about Tolstoj, Dostoevskij, Puškin...), but I love literature in general- yes, I'm a little piece of nerd :P
My last book is Blindness by José Saramago.
I also love writing: my dream is to become a writer one day.
Lately I'm interested in Latvian literature.

Music: rock or classical, it depends on how I feel/if I like it; I don't have a favourite singer or song, but if I have to list somebody I would say: Epica, Rammstein, Evanescence, Nightwish, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Aerosmith, Nirvana...
I'm not a great fan of Italian music, except for some songs.

Movies: horror, classics, psychological movies, black comedy.

Maybe to cook pasta :P at least, in Latvia people don't like how they serve it in restaurants, overboiled and without salt. But I really like to discover countries, people and cultures: I always gladly try new food, participate in different events and contests dealing with the local culture and its tradition etc.
