ABOUT ME

Currently I live in The Hague, my adopted home in the Netherlands, after spending a year in Amsterdam, where I did my Master's and had a time of my life. Continuing to search for that feeling here, working hard and having good times :)

Some of the things I enjoy most in life are good company, having a good laugh, running on a rainy day, reaching the top of a mountain (sometimes a metaphorical one), going for a long long walk, seeing films, going to the theater, spending too much time drinking tea, chatting, travelling by train with a good book in hand.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed couches in Portugal, Germany and Netherlands, sad to say that only surfed, but I hope I was a good couch surfer.

Interessen

Sports - horse riding mostly, also running, swimming, yoga,
Music - all styles of rock, indie, electronic, jazz...all kinds of music really, just not the dark styles or techno ;)
Books..also all kinds of books (most beloved authors: David Mitchell, Haruki Murakami, Paul Beatty), just not love novels or sci-fi.
Travel (that is kind of obvious regarding the site I am posting this profile on).
Food - I am interested in the cuisine of different countries and I like trying to cook different native meals (which not always turn out right, but that is not the point), I am also interested in using food for health reasons (not just healthy eating, but eating for a life).
Writing - this is one of my biggest passions, and something I can do for hours like nothing else matters.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Movies - the best ones are the ones that leave me speechless and keep me awake for a long time after watching them..like "Rainman", "Terminal", "La dolce vita", "Perfume", "Into the Wild", "Lost in Translation";...
Music: Ghost Animals, Andrew Bird, Lisa Hannigan, Florence and the Machine (sometimes), Bombay Bicycle Club..and so on and on and on ;]
Books: can't decide, ever. Currently very much into world creation, Mitchell or Murakami style :)

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Horse riding through French Alps in summertime, all by myself, completely silent evening..magic...
