About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Perfect my pizza pie

ABOUT ME

Mostly good things, I'm hope... they seem to have so far

PHILOSOPHY

I am, primarily, driven by an intense curiosity - a primal urge to collect and connect all the information and experiences I can.

Time is precious, so I try hard to spend it wisely.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I registered on the website a while ago, though I've only recently become more active. I've had a great time at some CS meetups in Toronto, and I love having a full house, so I'm very excited to host.

I'm also doing some "officially sanctioned" surfing on my current trip around the States.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, I have plenty of experience crashing on couches and talking to strangers (to the abhorrence of my mother), though I've yet to organize a stay through CS.org

When staying with a new-found friend in BC, it was pointed out to me that lots of other people open their lives to strangers. He showed me the CouchSurfing community. I was shocked. And thrilled. And I still am.

Interests

Playing, cycling (either the mountain or touring variety), urban gardening, wilderness adventures, science, dodgeball, skiing (water and snow), disassembling, entrepreneurship, spices, talking to strangers, paddling, Lego, psychology, fires, technology (and how affects us), pirouettes, hugs, climbing (rocks, trees, buildings, people...), disproving pessimistic convictions, handstands, sailing, people watching, dance parties (preferably impromptu), playing the devil's advocate, swimming, exploring.

Oh, and YOU!

Things I want to get (more/back) into:

rock climbing, triathlon, architecture, slack-lining (like tight-rope...without the tight), scuba & free diving, piano, kiteboarding

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveled to and around Belize with 23 family members, spanning three generations, and ranging from one to over seventy years of age.

We explored the jungle and played in the ocean, wandered the biggest cities and visited friends' homes in tiny towns.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love teaching juggling, cooking and how things work.

I'd like to learn Spanish or German (although an intro to any foreign language would be awesome), carry a conversation in French, or teach you some English.

If you know about any of the things on my "want to get more/back into" list (above, in Interests), I'd obviously love to hear about it, but really, if there's something you think its important enough to teach, then I'm all ears!

Countries I’ve Visited

Belize, Canada, France, Mexico, United States
