Hello! My name is Gabby and I'm currently living in Milwaukee, WI. Although I really enjoy teaching, my true passion is music. I currently play guitar and sing lead vocals for the Milwaukee-based band Faux Fiction. We put out a DIY album last year, and we'll be releasing our first full-length album on June 17th. To support this album, we'll be touring throughout the summer in the Midwest/East Coast. I'm super excited to visit new cities and meet new people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am looking for hosts in the cities we'll be visiting during our tour. There are 5 people total, 4 band members (myself, my husband Jason, Paul, and Peter) and 1 merch person (my brother, Joey, or Peter's girlfriend, Jill). We are more than happy to sleep on the floor (we'll have our own bedding). We are friendly and respectful people, and definitely fun to be around!

Music: Violent Soho, The Dirty Nil, Summer Cannibals, Bully, Hop Along, Tame Impala, Nirvana, and lots more.

Movies: My favorite movie of all time is The Goonies. Other than that, I like cheesy 80s movies and most sci-fis and thrillers.

Books: Anything by John Irving, lots of sci-fi and fantasy, some nonfiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2007, I moved 900 miles away from home to Milwaukee, a city where I knew absolutely no one. It turned out pretty well considering I met my husband here and started a band. :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

For hosting the band, you will get free entry for you and one guest to our show in your city. In addition, we will give you a free merch package, which will include one CD or cassette (your choice), one band t-shirt in your size (depending on availability), stickers, and a pin.
