ABOUT ME
We're actually 2 friends (Helene is just "borrowing" Gaby's profile, just like she "borrows" all her clothes all year around) who are also flatmates in London :) We met at university and rocked eachother's world (when Gaby reads this she is going to wonder what's wrong with me haha)!
Gaby is always in a good mood, she's always ready to party, and she's really easy-going. One day she's going to become a doctor and save the world one little baby at a time! Just an all-around cool gal. Also she's hilarious when she speaks French.
Helene is French but hopes it doesn't show too much (that's a lie), she is easily entertained and enjoys making fun of Gaby when she speaks French. Things that she is amused by: weird laughs, most TV shows, winning at Scrabble and people misquoting Sartre.
We spend way too much time together so we've decided we should do something profitable instead of just cooking and drinking together (which is most of what we do, and is a very enjoyable activity nevertheless)... So we booked tickets to TUSCANYYYYY!! We both really look forward to it, we love italy and italian food and italian wine and the countryside looks so beauuuutiful and Florence and Pisa and Sienna...
Anyways we also booked bicycles and have decided to tour the region with bikes! That way we get to see the small villages and we can go as slowly or as fast as we want. We're REALLY excited.
A huge part of our plan is to couchsurf, because we really want to meet Italians who know about their region and their country, and also know the best places, to show us around, and to go out, and have fun! So we're hoping you have a couch for us, or even a little corner where we can crash so we get a chance to meet!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We've both travelled a fair bit (Gaby went to Brazil and Tanzania only last year!!, Helene has been to Cuba, Cambodia, India Lebanon and a bunch of other cool places) and we love it, as well as we love sharing stories about it! Couchsurfing is great because we get to meet other people like us, and to hear stories from other people from around the world, and hopefully make great friends!
We have a flat in London that's a bit crammed at the moment, but we'd be really happy to host when we have more room... Hopefully we'll be able to catch up with people we meet in Italy!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We're both Couchsurfing virgins!! We've just registered on the site.
However, Helene once ended up in an elephant trainer's hut in northern Cambodia, where she slept very uncomfortably on the floor, but the sunrise in the middle of the jungle the next morning was toooootally worth it! Also there was a huge yellow spider in a corner that was terrifying, and its web had a great big black X mark that she spider made... shudder.
