CURRENT MISSION
Exploring: Putting myself in new and exciting moments to eat and travel
ABOUT ME
Virginia-born, but really happily at heart Bostonian/German. Just finished University studying International Relations and German, and currently living in Berlin as a Masters Student. But other than that, I'm trying to stay flexible. I want to visit everywhere I can, whether that's from a book I've read, or from a one-off article I read on a Monday afternoon.
As long as I've been alive, I've wanted to read and write and drink some sort of hot drink (tea, coffee, hot chocolate, take your pick!). I'm not entirely sure if that makes me the "writing" sort, but I always enjoy a good book, and even though I may take more tea breaks than actually writing, you can always find me holed up in a bookshop with some hot chocolate, contentedly half dozing... or doing yoga.
PHILOSOPHY
Why do I live my life? Oh. Well I suppose because I have the opportunity to do so many amazing things, to make differences with each person that I meet and have the opportunity to help, I should. It makes sense to me, the idea to meet strangers. To say hello, and even for just a moment - feel the connection between you and the person on the street. You don't know what being kind could accomplish, so my philosophy is simply - why not?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've couch surfed three times now :) Two times in Norway and once in Lithuania and I had a fantastic experience, that just makes me want to travel through couch surfing more!
I've hosted one girl in Dresden :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Twice for two nights each in Oslo, Norway. I had such an amazing experience and I'm so lucky that I got two great people to talk with and share the amazing city with!
Twice for two nights in Vilnius, Lithuania and I had the time of my life! Honestly these people could not be any nicer!
Interests
Reading, writing, hot drinks (have I written this someplace before?), the internet, wearing warm clothing in freezing cold temperatures, frantically deciding to what to wear when going to the convenience store, warm sweaters, German, languages, school (I know, nerdy), and existing (but also cooking), yoga, baking, and attempting to run!

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Basically anything I can get my hands on, including but of course not limited to Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Les Miserables, Shadow of the Wind, The Historian, The Eight, (I can go on)
Music: Les Miserables soundtrack, Broadway, Rock, Pop, Easy Listening, Folk Music
Movies: Quite a few... I don't even know where to begin (but think action, adventure, thriller, and you'll be on the right track!)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Going horseback riding alone for the first time in Iceland with some lovely older ladies and the instructors and becoming fast friends within the first 20 minutes while seeing some of the most beautiful sites I've ever seen in my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can 100% and would be happy to talk about my life, experiences, how to make tea, how to write, history, dancing, yoga poses, cooking tips. I could share my clothing choices also, though I'm not entirely sure you'd want something like that. But we could have a cooking party too :)
Learning: Anything :) I'm happy to learn just about anything!
What I Can Share with Hosts
We could cook together and share recipes, or share experiences of life in general. :)
