Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A man must travel. For his own sake, not by means of histories, images, books or TV. He must travel on his own, with his eyes and feet, to understand what is his. To one day plant his own trees and give them valor. To know the cold to be able to enjoy the heat, and vice versa. To feel distance and homelessness to understand how good it is to be under his own roof. A man must travel to unknown places to quit this arrogance that makes us view the world how we imagine it, and not how it is or may be; that makes us teachers and doctors of what we don't see, when we should be students and go out to seek.
