About Me

Hi there, I'm Gabby :). I am 25 years old and on my way to starting a regenerative farm but first my partner Aaron ( link to his page down below) and I are traveling the world and culturally submerging ourselves in new places with new faces.

So.. you are here to get to know more about me? I love being outside whether its for hiking, swimming, fishing or just going for a walk, I like to be constantly moving. If I'm not outside, listening to music or watching movies than you can find me working on hobbies of mine like making stained glass, ceramics or crafts. Some kitchen hobbies of mine are cooking, baking, fermentation, or making simple cheeses and yogurts. I am very easy going and like to go with the flow and enjoy my day.

Aaron and I are traveling to meet new people from different walks of life and learn more about different cultures. If you're wanting to sit and have a chat to get to know the people you are hosting or have a deep conversation than we got you covered.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Wwoof(world wide opportunities on organic farms) has been a huge part of my life, it has given me the opportunity to travel and meet new people while gaining the skills that I will use when starting our business. While wwoofing I got the chance to learn more about the people I met and the cultural differences between all of us and that really inspired me to want to learn more about different cultures. I think couch-surfing is another wonderful resource to do just that, culturally submerge yourself . I think this is a fantastic way to travel and meet new friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

This could easily be the largest section on my page seeing that music, movies and reading are a big part of my life. That being said I love discovering new artists and I hope to share my favorites with you as well. One book that has stuck with me is The Alchemist, a simple read but the story of the carpenters son has stayed with me since reading it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've done is hiking to Little Spar lake in Montana. I've gone for hikes before and even backpacked in Yosemite before but hiking in Montana was absolutely beautiful. Aaron and I had gotten lost and bushwhacked it for about an hour and ran into the side of the mountain that was also a waterfall, eventually we found the trail again. It was only 4 miles but it was a steep hike all the way to the top where there was this small lake "Little Spar Lake". I remember the water being so clear that you could see all the fish at the very bottom and yet it still had a beautiful blue color to it. That trip was also my first bear encounter, it had come up to our tent when we were inside of it! That was my first true adrenaline rush!

Teach, Learn, Share

To me this experience is to get to know people more and learn about the world not just crashing at someone's place.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can be very helpful around the house if needed and Aaron and I know our way around the kitchen.
