About Me

After a 5 month cycle trip across Europe, I am now back in Belgium to stay with my family and working as a barmaid for the summer. Growing up, I lived in various places accross Asia, and then moved to Belgium, where my family still lives.

During my cycle trip, I was warmly welcomed by numerous members of couchsurfing and I am really looking forward to being able to host in return!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Monuments, sights, music, culture, all of that is great but makes a lot more sense when you get to share time with the people who live, breath, work with and around these things every day.

Interests

I love: feeling alive, spending time with friends and future friends, dancing for fun, camping and waking up with the morning dew, singing alone on my bike, imagining strategies to take over the world, looking at the stars from the middle of nowhere, listening to stories, telling stories.

Sometimes I like being on the road, sometimes I like being being at home. Most often I cant make up my mind.

As an anthropologist, Im interested in all questions and thoughts about what it means to be human today. Or tomorrow.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite Movies:

(a list I made when I was 6, and had decided back then that I would not be changing my mind, ever, which in retrospect is a useful decision, as it means I don't need to make a new one)

The Lion King
Born Free
Bedknobs and broomsticks
The Little Princess

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in Georgia (Caucasus) for a year, that was pretty awesome (because the place is awesome).

Teach, Learn, Share

Im still learning.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd happily cook a meal (as long a you don't expect extraordinary cooking skills :) )

Countries I’ve Lived In

Belgium, China, Cyprus, Georgia, Nicaragua, United Kingdom, Viet Nam
