About Me

Hi! I'm new to couchsurfing. I have been travelling through the east coast of Australia for almost 6 months now and I am finishing up my trip with the beautiful, eclectic city of Melbourne. I have been lucky enough so far to just be offered places to stay by incredible people I've met along the way and they have made for some of the best stories an people of my journey. I truly believe travelling with CS makes for a totally different experience and I'm looking forward to going back home to be a host myself and give back to fellow travellers. I am young, yes, and I do know that sometimes give hosts a bad first impression. Hopefully, we can get past that and get to know each other. You will see I am respectful, tidy and grateful to anyone who is willing to open up their home to me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To travel the world in a different way, discover new places and meet new people. I think CS can make travelling so much more than just visiting the places. It can make for the best stories, some great friendships and hopefully, bring back the trust we can have in strangers all over the world.

Interests

I love anything that resembles circus and flipping around; aerials, acrobatics, rock climbing, theater, trampoline, dancing, yoga, etc
I miss the snow and especially snowboarding, but I have been introduced to surfing and I must say, it's pretty rad too.
I love camping, climbing mountains and finding beautiful rivers, collecting cool rocks and shells.
I really really like wearing weird costumes and makeup and walking through the city hooping around
I love debating ; history, politics, philosophy, any other subject basically. I love chatting over a nice home cooked meal and wine... or over a parmi and a pint. But I promise to not get into any of the deep subjects if no one wants to.
I love Aussies and their slang, reminds me of my french slang from Canada.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: reading Shantaram right now, really enjoying it. Shadow of the wind, fight club, Animal Farm, any Agatha Christie or Sherlock Holmes, I'm a sucker for murder mysteries.

Music : pretty varied; Pink Floyd, The Cat Empire, Streetlight Manifesto, Tallest Man on Earth, Buena Vista Social Club, Amadou & Mariam, Barrington Levy, Fat Freddy's Drop, Tash Sultana, Ocean Alley, Xavier Rudd, Gregory Isaacs, Miles Davis, Jean Leloup, Tryo, Manu Chao, Matisyahu, Mumford & Sons

Movies : I can get into anything, as long as it's not too scary. Proud to say I am a huge Harry Potter nerd.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This one time I climbed a volcano in Nicaragua called Maderas on the island of Ometepe. It took us all day and we slept in the crater. It was misty and cold and totally awesome. Took us the whole next day to come back down and we got lost multiples times, just kept going down.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to stretch properly,
some very canadian french,
I can cook and really enjoy it. My main dishes have always been and will most probably stay : tacos, guacamole, nachos, fruit salad (yes, it's a meal), grilled cheese toasties.
I would love to learn anything you have to teach me, I can really get into anything. If you can do anything mechanical or are just good at building things, I will be forever impressed.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am energetic and always happy to help. I love organizing so bring on the cluttered desk or messy closet. Don't be upset if I ask to clean the kitchen, I have been trained to always fully do the job.
I have been told by many that my clothes folding skills are near professional.
