About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make the world more beautiful with things like music and art, while fighting to make it less ugly through fighting intolerance and injustice.

ABOUT ME

Energetic and passionate about travelling, meeting people, art, and intellectual discussions, especially around feminism and queer things.

PHILOSOPHY

Attempting to be present as possible, enjoying nature, and moving my body!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Voyeuristically: I have been roommates of hosts, so have been a pseudo-host and enjoy meeting new people. Hopefully starting to use it on my own travels, too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfers staying with my roommates! Getting to meet neat people, and hearing all sorts of stories of other people being wonderful hosts. Sounds like a wonderful place!

Interests

Ukulele, swing dancing, hiking and outdoors, bicycling, swimming, feminism, queer theory, politics!

Music, Movies, and Books

Non-fiction is as good to me as fiction these days. Social justice and environmental books are favoured, Beatrice and Virgil was the most recently striking book for me. Music that lets me dance or that I can sing with is great.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last summer I worked at the UN for a human rights / LGBT based internship. I got to see the inner workings of the UN, attend meetings, get a pass into the General Assembly, get more inspired for the work I want to do with my life, and experience the fascinating metropolis that is New York City.
