About Me
**We do not currently have space to host, but might again in the foreseeable future.
CURRENT MISSION
Saving $$$
Recently married to a wonderful English man and we are currently in-between places while we save some money to find a more long-term place.
ABOUT ME
A dreamer, idealist, philosopher, creator who dreams of future adventures traveling, meeting people, and making a difference. I'm from the U.S. and have been to more than 7 different countries and plan on many more. I don't consider just one place to be my home. I love really immersing myself during my travels. Writing is my passion, though I studied something completely different. Sometimes the wrong path leads you back to where you really want to be. I think couch surfing is such a vibrant community of cool, like-minded travelers and I'm stoked to be a part of it! xx
PHILOSOPHY
Practice gratitude everyday and accept where that where you are at any given moment is exactly where you are meant to be.
And of course....never stop traveling. In both body and spirit~~
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've couch surfed once in San Diego and it was a great experience. Looking forward to doing it again and being able to host one day.
I would love to cook a yummy vegan meal for a host and exchange stories or go out for coffee/drinks! Btw yes I'm (mostly) vegan but prefer not to label it. And I don't mind if you eat meat. As long as you respect my choices, I respect yours. ✌️
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I surfed on someone's couch in San Diego in 2014 and it was a very positive experience. It opened me up to generosity of the CS community and gave me an experience where I felt like I was more of a local than a tourist. It only made want to move out west even more!

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies - Amelie, Girl Interrupted, Like Crazy, Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, Before Midnight, Fight Club, Dead Poets Society, A Beautiful Mind, Donnie Darko. + more I'm blanking on....
Books- I'll admit I don't read as much fiction as I should as an aspiring writer and often (regrettably) gravitate towards the 'self-help' or nutrition sections of the book store.
Music- Love a bit of soul, funk, jazz. Also love classics like Hendrix, as well as down tempo ambient instrumental styles. Not at all into country, disco, or house music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Backpacking around Europe for a month in the summer of 2008. I visited London, Brussels, Geneva, Yvoire (France), Stockholm, Amsterdam, and Dublin.
Moving to London, where I didn't know a soul and didn't have a place to live yet for my Masters degree in August 2014.
Staying in the Sierra Nevada mountains in Spain and wandering the streets of Paris in the summer of 2015. They were both magical in different ways.
For a while I worked with people who have severe mental illness and developmental difficulties. I learned something new everyday. Mostly how strong the human desire is to be genuinely listened to.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can learn something from everyone. But I love having impassioned discussions with passionate people and trading stories about life and travels.
I'd love to get better at surfing, improve my guitar skills, and learn new languages, especially ASL. But open to collecting random bits of knowledge and skills everywhere I go!
What I Can Share with Hosts
A love for traveling, inquisitive nature, passion for physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being, desire for genuine connection, open-mindedness.
