About Me
Hello dear hosts,
my name is Gabrielle, I am currently a french teacher at elementary school. I am done university since 2 years now, and I have been spending my time between having contracts here and there, and travelling around the world.
I am a curious person who like to ask questions about everything. If i'm interested in a subject, i like to go in depth and seek as many sources as possible. Travel for me is a learning experience, like a school but way bigger and more complex in wich we learn divesrity, other ways of thinking, and we also learn autonomy.
Protecting our beautiful earth is another thing im trying to do everyday of my life, by selecting what I buy as food, cleaning product, clothes, and more.
I want to encourage the local and fair trade in order to preserve and maintain our resources and not exploit the human worker and the animal.
I am currently sharing my life with 7 to 9 roomates full-time in Montréal, in a big appartment. We do collective dinners and we have a big organisation that have been settled, in which we all have our own rooms to clean, tasks to do, and we encourage each other to have a conscious environment.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My goal in couchsurfing is to meet locals of course, but also to expand the social network between the people who travel with a sharing spirit, as well as participate in a much more exciting way to stay at a place in a foreing land.
I also like to learn more about the lifestyle of the country I visit. Moreover, couchsurfing is a good way to learn the basic local language.
