About Me

Hello! I am a psychology student, currently living in my hometown Montreal. My first language is French, but I am fluent in English as well. I love to travel, read, learn and discuss. I am a feminist.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started travelling at 14 years old with my choir. We would stay at other chorists,' houses, whom we were singing with. From that moment on, I could never travel without living with locals.

Interests

I love psychology, sociology, anthropology, history and politics. You can talk to me about any of those things and i'll be all ears. I know politics can be a sore subject, but i am a great listener and the only debates i would have are calm and respectful ones. Music, litterature and cinema are also very important for me.

I like to hike and bike! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: folk and alternative music. I like The Smiths, The Breeders, Soko, Dear Criminals, Nico, Fred Fortin, Richard Desjardins, Louise Attaque, Françoise Hardy, Vashti Bunyan, Devendra Banhart

Cinema: À bout de souffle, Mauvais Sang. (But I have watched Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain and the Sound of Music more than I can say)

Books: Poems of Marie Uguay, Notebooks of Cioran, Novels of Kundera

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've managed a school library for a year and a half, with six other students. It definitely changed me in a positive way and made me a much more responsible person. It also showed me there was alternative ways of working and alternative ways of living.

I've also done two short documentaries in Sarajevo in 2016 and 2018. It is on the reconstruction of cultural links in the Balkans.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to teach French. I also sang for 8 years in a choir, so i love jams. I also love to hear people play music.

I love to learn langages.

I like to cut vegetables. I am useful around 8 pm.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can be an extra pair of hands to wash and help around the house. But mostly, I can be a friend with whom to share fun evenings and drink wine. I never get tired of those!
