Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To make this enormous world smaller by creating relationships with people, allowing my senses to be consumed by my surroundings, and giving myself the freedom to explore.
ABOUT ME
I've been an avid traveler for a number of years and am looking towards continuing my exploration of the natural world and the people who inhabit it. Some of my passions include the environment, being outside, and mirth.
I tend to be calculatedly adventurous, easily excitable, and eternally optimistic. While focusing on fully experiencing the present, I'm working on finding my place in the future (like any of us, I suppose).
I'm continuously searching for good conversation and full belly laughter.
PHILOSOPHY
Love one another and yourself.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
If my life journey has taught me a single thing, it's that people are inherently good. Though not immediately evident in some, a project like Couch Surfing can act as a catalyst to draw out that positivity. I'm trying to offer a welcoming environment in a foreign place for others, as I hope others would do for me. Couch Surfing can bring out the best in people, and that is an enviable experience.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had the pleasure of hosting some truly wonderful people and look forward to my first opportunity to go "surfing."
Interests
In no particular order: running, skiing, playing pool, reading, cooking, dancing, ecology, camping, dogs, meetings, tea, pasta, guava juice, napping, holidays, atmospheric dynamics, people, and sandals.

Music, Movies, and Books
Though I don't have as much of a deep, intimate connection with music as others do, I find great aesthetic pleasure in using it as a soundtrack for life.
I generally don't watch too many movies since there is so much of the world to experience away from a TV.
A year in a world away from any kind of technology turned me on to every kind of reading. The beauty in books is that the stories never cease and there is always more to explore. Non-fiction, fiction, medium-fiction. All are a part of our world and that works.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have seen the sun rise from the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro, from the top of a volcano in Hawai'i, from a sailboat off of Key West, on New Year's Day in the Galapagos, after a wild night out with Australians, over a glacial mountain lake in Chilean Patagonia, over the Mediterranean Sea, and laying on a rug in the Sahara. Each time, it was the most beautiful thing in the world.
