About Me
ABOUT ME
My friends would call me funny, curious, and quite shy until I get to know someone. I'm quite clean and very courteous. I am a true animal lover. I love to eat, drink, and travel.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe we all need to work together in order to make this world work. I'm a huge fan and avid supporter of habitat for humanity and I'm an AmeriCorps alumni. #YoursinService
Religion, color, sexual orientation do not matter to me at all.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people when I travel. I'm used to being a woman traveling alone, so it's really nice to meet others along the way.
Interests
I have worked in a theater company in Chicago and the suburbs. I love lighting design and stagecraft. I have been involved in the performing arts since I was 10 years old. I also love ice skating and hockey. Although I learned how to skate early, I've only very recently picked up figure skating and enjoy it immensely.
I currently work in a Toxicology laboratory, testing drugs of abuse. It's interesting and it pays for the travel!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a huge fan of Tim Burton movies and Anne Rice books galore. My favorite author is Richelle Mead. My music is eclectic, I listen to everything but my favorite band is a local Chicago band called Kill Hannah.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I recently completed a NOLS course in the Yukon Territory in Northern Canada. Hiking, backpacking, and whitewater canoeing without a cell phone for a couple months. It was pretty amazing.
