Hi,
I'm Gaël, 23, french but half-italian, music fan and sport addict.

When I was 19 years old, I made a choice considered as rather special and unusual in France: to do distance-learning with my university. In concrete terms, this means that I take the same exams as other students, with the difference that I only go there two or three times a year to take them. In the last three years, along with my personal projects and university studies, I've had the opportunity to travel to all corners of Europe. So basically, I spent a few months in France, to then leave for a few months abroad with my gym bag, my courses and my trusty laptop to work.

My way of traveling was not, let's say it, very conventional. As my goal was to discover as much as possible about the culture of the countries in which I went, I stayed for a long time in the same place. I kept a routine (like at home), going to gym and running almost daily, and studying several hours a day. In fact, I lived a little bit like a local, except that I wasn’t one.

On several occasions, I have also convinced friends to travel with me to introduce them to Central and Eastern Europe, a region I am so attracted to. My wish was to share with them all the reasons that make my interest for this region. They have always trusted me to plan everything. I love organizing, and when I do it for someone, it takes even more importance as I want everything to be perfect for them. My basic rule is to take into account the interests and personality of each one in order to plan according to them; not according to me. The equation is simple: if the person is happy, I am happy.

Of course, there are always times when things do not go as planned: a last minute change to get from point A to point B, being without money at all because of a credit card that refuses to work in a particular country ...But I always adapt very easily to any situation. And after all, you know what? Those unexpected things contribute to the best memories.

A description of myself? I hate this question, but what I can say is that I'm definitely someone curious.
