I travel. I cook. I talk a lot. I like making other people smile. I get excited about making plans. I suffer horrendous Monday-dread. I try to enjoy myself often - those endorphins are really something! I do my best not to worry about the state of the world excessively (but that's hard); I act when I can. I show respect and expect nothing less from others. I don't intentionally write profiles like they're Alanis Morrisette songs, but I hate being too earnest (it's a British thing).

I'm like everyone else really, and also not at all. And I like affirming that with the connections I make. Hence me being on here.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like people - plain and simple. It's why I do the job I do. I like seeing what other people are about. I get joy from it. It's totally selfish. Maybe it's about understanding yourself better through the prism of other people's experience? Or something. I dunno.
