Overview
About Me
I'm a 29 year old male from the United States. Originally from Texas I lived in LA California for about 5 years before beginning my travels. In the last year I’ve lived in:
Australia: 1 year
New Zealand: 1 year
Australia: 7 months
Hanoi, Vietnam: 2 years
Along the way I have also visited Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Africa and Mozambique.
Currently my girlfriend (South African)and I have spent about 4 months in Bali teaching English online.
We will be in Europe from September 1st-November 14th. We would love to stay with some locals to stretch our budget and as everyone knows they have the best advice for sights to see and things to do in cities/places.
Looking forward to meeting new friends in different places along the way!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to travel & I know how helpful a bed is in foreign places :)
My friends recommended Couchsurfing to me based on their previous experiences. They've met some amazing people from it, made lots of memories, gotten some great advice on the locations and stretched their budget along the way.

Music, Movies, and Books
As cliché as it sounds I really do enjoy almost all types of music... except Christian rock and death metal. I don't hate on them, just not my jam. Though I can certainly appreciate metal. Love classical music, classic rock, music from pretty much every decade (Lee Moses, David Bowie, Al Green, Nina Simone, Bob Marley, Steel Pulse, Queen, Fleetwood Mac, Xavier Rudd, Fat Freddy's Drop, Ratatat, Snarky Puppy, The Talking Heads) just to name a tiny few of the tip of the iceberg. Definitely have left off some favorites but that's a good flavor.
Movies that tell lifelong stories: Forest Gump, About Time, Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, etc.
Dramas, comedies, thrillers, sci-fi etc etc. I used to be an actor when I lived in Los Angeles.. I definitely love a wide range of films from any era or genera.
Documentaries about anything and everything.
Books: Mostly nonfiction. The last few great books that I've read:
Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life: Wayne Dyer
A Brief History of Nearly Everything: Bill Bryson
Guns Germs & Steel: Jared Diamond
I don't read much fiction but I did love Shantaram.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I will be walking The Camino with my girlfriend in September 2019.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My girlfriend and I both love meeting new people, having great conversation and swapping stories. We’re open to hosts that merely have a couch for us or hosts that want to get to know us and chill some. Always keen for great conversation, good music swapping and new memories!
