New to Couch Surfing...

I am a funky dude who is also a professional painter/muralist. I used to work an office job and eventually gave it the boot to follow my passion full time. I moved to Vienna, Austria for a year n a half to study under a few master painters. I traveled all over the eu - painting when I could and enjoying culture, friends, food and extreme sports.

Me and my Gf moved to Bali for a few months and ended up painting two murals in northern Japan.

I have been live painting on stage at shows, festivals and burns for the past 7 years. I also dig on the outdoors and am an avid fan of climbing, hiking, snowboarding, swimming… really just anything outside.

I’m Just trying to live the best life that I can. I love sharing stories, learning new customs and culture, discussing philosophy and shooting the shit.

I want to make new friends and see how people get down in this part of the world along with exploring the outdoors. I want to share my artwork through painting murals around town or on your walls, and painting live at festivals, and concerts.

I would be super stoked to collaborate with other artists in any mediums – I can even body paint for photoshoots ect.

Music:
I dig on most all types of music including jam bands, funk, reggae, blues, rock, folk, jazz, blue grass, bass, glitch hop - electronic with its many varients…. really anything but radio country and screemo.

My favorite bands are Grateful Dead and Phish.

Books:
I am a huge fan of spirituality books and Sci Fi. Some of my favorites include Celestine Prophecy, Re-member along with Star Rover. Currently I am reading Dune and am pretty stoked on it.

Movies:
I could go on forever but I dig on Pulp Fiction, Almost Famous, Kill Bill, Rock and Rolla, Layer Cake, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Zoolander, Firefly, Inception, Primer, Boogie Nights…. The list goes on

The 4th time I saw snow, I lived in an igloo for 3 weeks in Wyoming.

I am more thank happy to share anything art related from painting and murals. Depending on the situation, I am open to trade murals for stay & food ect.

I also love to cook and share meals. I can teach some different cooking techniques and some of my favorite recipes.

I am pretty open person and am always happy to swap stories and share my experiences and learn through conversation.
