About Me

Originally I am from Jerusalem. As a child I lived two years in the USA, so my English is totally fluent.
I am a friendly person, open to know new places and meet new people. Being too judgmental and believing one has the ultimate truth are two properties I truly despise, though I try not to take it to the other extreme too (one must have opinions and believe in something, you can't be too agnostic in life).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My ex-roommate had some CS friends coming over to stay with us in the apartment and I remember it as a very fun and positive experience - even though I wasn't the "formal host", we all had a good time. I myself couchsurfed when I traveled and it was a great experience.

Interests

Reading, writing, yoga, traveling, arts, cooking and baking (I always start the morning with my own cookies or muffins..).
I learned music for a long time - I play the flute. I studied art. I like languages - I worked as a translator for some time. My PhD has to do with language and the brain (neurolinguistics). I am also interested in gender studies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hard to make a list, be if to insist and try, then here are three things that pop to mind:
(i) Full moon in the Dead Sea, middle of nowhere, just us, and nobody else around in miles - can't explain in words... It was magical. Regardless, I just love the desert landscape.
(ii) Climbing a volcano in Guatemala, all the lava under our feet...
(iii) In Quebec City a friend and I took a ferry to the other side of the river when it was almost all frozen - just looking at the icebergs breaking into pieces when the boat crossed its way through, all dark and quiet, with all the white of snow and ice around - that was really impressive.
