ABOUT ME

When I was younger I wanted to be an astrophysicist, then a fashion designer, then a writer, and now ??? It's all a mystery. Being an Aquarius, the freewheeling nature of my desire is both my strength and weakness. I'm learning how to balance.

I consider myself to be thoughtful, above all. Which to my partyself seems preposterous and dull; surely not a thinker! A dreamer, a lover, searching for the next thrill--the bohemian rhapsody beats inside of me, yes its true. But above all, thoughtfulness. It's the zen way, even though I have much work left to do before I reach life-nirvana.

Global public health, seriously. International development in general, and that's why couch surfing is so interesting!

eating, music, food, chronic, California, hiking, astrology, fingernail polish, traveling (duh), reading, emailing and correspondence with friends, puzzles, Lumosity and brain training, flash cards, yoga, occasional art projects, World Cup debauchery, graduating from college, volunteering abroad, people, entertainment, pretending to be a writer. And more as I grow into and out of things!

Music, Movies, and Books

Kurt Vonnegut is the bomb, literally altered my personal ideals. F Scott Fitzgerald (I really like his short stories), Jonathon Safran Foer (Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close). Want to get into more classics, but still find them to be....dry. And...I read self-help books.

Loads of favorite music artists, and genres. I obsessively find myself listening to Fleetwood Mac. Indie rock and nuPop are big interests. Current addictions include: Caribou, Edward Sharpe, LCD Soundsystem, Toro y Moi. Sort of hard to pick what artists I want written on here, because it sends such a big message about me as a person.

I LOVE MOVIES. Best way to not spend $$$ by going out and still doing something worthwhile. CITY OF GOD= best movie I've seen in a long time, and also Toy Story 3. Looking forward to Christopher Nolan's Inception this summer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Music Performances-- Daft Punk, Prince (Coachella as a whole). Probably the most epic and life changing ones, but of course every live music experience has a special place in my heart and mind.
