I live on the Island of Pulau Tuba, off the Island of Langkawi Malaysia, with my dog Princess. I own a plot of land that backs onto jungle, where there is a few bunglaows I rent, and a private beach, which has beautiful white sand, and water that is perfect for swimming.
I live a bit of a castaway existence, but I enjoy being a beach bum!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd like couchsurfers to come and stay if they are happy to do around three hours of work a day. I really enjoy having other people around to share in the spectacular surroundings, however the upkeep of the place is a lot for one person to manage, so this is why I am asking for help in return for a couch. The work is not hard, just cleaning the beach or helping with the weeding or watering, and you can do it when you like during the day - it can get pretty hot midday and so you might want to work in the early morning or evening. The rest of the time you are free to enjoy the beach, explore the island or even go onto Langkawi, which is a ten minute boat ride away - Its a duty free island which is great if you like your beer! There is a lot to explore on Langkawi other than the duty free though.
The "couch" is an open air dormitory, where mattresses are provided. There is a shower and an open air toilet. You will need to bring all your own food but there is a gas stove for you to cook on. There is a big supermarket called Billions close to Langkawi Kuah port.
