Hi everyone, we are Gaia and Christian, a couple of travelers who have been exploring the world together for ten years now. We are very simple and friendly people, and we would like to meet local people during our next trip to Scotland, which will be from 17 July to 17 September 2024. We would like to improve our English language, exchange life stories and find new friends.

Let’s introduce ourselves:

Gaia studied for five years at a food and wine school, before graduating in visual art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. After working for a few years in contemporary visual art she is now furthering her artistic studies at a theater and cinema acting academy in Rome. In the meantime she is passionate about horses and riding, a sport she has practiced for about ten years, and after completing the 300 YTT she currently works teaching yoga in Rome and online.

Christian graduated from a visual art school, and then furthered his studies at the Muiscal School in Milan. He comes from a family of actors and musicians, and he also tap dances, plays the guitar and loves moments of music in company, perhaps in front of a bonfire! He currently works in Rome as a set designer.

We hope on this trip to meet many beautiful people, who are the spice of each of our trips much more than the place itself. We are still in touch with many people we met on our previous travels in South America, some of whom we now call family.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

We signed up to Couchsurfing in 2015 for our first long trip to South America, with this app we met wonderful people with whom we are still in contact, and now that we are about to leave again we would like to relive this wonderful way of meeting people and doing new friendships.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

We both love Italian songwriting and country music. We really like music (we both play and sing) and for this reason we love discovering the traditional music of the places we visit.

I worked in a library for three years and I love reading so much that I would need too long a space and the conversation would become very long, maybe we'll keep this topic to talk about when we meet in person! I could never choose a favorite book, but I know for sure that the book that made me love reading when I was younger and that is perhaps also outlining my entire life path is "Fairy Oak", a book that talks about magic, nature and friendship with the backdrop of the Scottish highlands.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

The most amazing thing we did was start living our best life, without limits and following all our dreams. Things are often not easy, but with the right amount of stubbornness it's really fantastic to enjoy the world!

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

We can teach everything we know, from cooking to the Italian language, visual art and the history of cinema, to strumming the guitar to tap dancing. Obviously if you are interested I can give you free yoga, breathing and meditation lessons. Or telling stories about our trip to South America and Italy and above all learning from you: we will never stop learning! We would love to hear your stories, learn your language, taste new flavours, see different horizons and enjoy your company.

We can offer toothy smiles, serenity and good energy. I believe that meeting new people helps us get to know ourselves better, and in the same way a new piece of the world. We can bring stories, ideas, as well as listen to them. Adventure maybe. Or friendship why not? Definitely a different experience, a different culture from a different country. And a great desire to discover.
