About Me
Hi people of CouchSurf!
I am an Italian raised, British living traveller who's been on the road now 3 years. I’m back at University now, in London. I'm a photojournalist, I love to cook, play music, surf, and everything outdoors or nature related, I'm a big hiker and adventurer. I really love animals, and most of all, I love to get to know a place, understand the society I am inhibiting, and the people that make it so authentic and alive.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm a huge believer in community and getting to know the people that make the place what it is. I believe that the key to adventure is seeking the more hidden places, and couchsurf has really helped me with that. I love showing people around Rome, my city, and I feel that people would not have the ability to understand it and enjoy it would it not be for the explanations of a local person. I've met the coolest people through couchsurf that allowed me to discover the more off the beaten track places. Of course, it's also a completely different experience to witness a city or town from the perspective of a lived home, to understand how local people live through their routine. It's an honour to be offered a window into the everyday life of a culture that is alien to my own. Unfortunately, now that I’m in London, the lifestyle has caught up to me, and I don’t have so much time to show my csers around, but I’ll have many tips to share while you stay with me.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a violinist, so I really love classical music, but as a good European I'm an avid lover of techno.
My favourite movies are Cinema Paradiso, Interstellar, and the Secret Life of Walter Mitty.
My favourite books are Bonjour Tristesse, 100 Years of Solitude, and the Great Gatsby.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I broke my ankle right before a scheduled trip to India, but I still went on the trip. I was on crutches or in a wheelchair almost the entire trip, but I had really been looking forward to settle into a village life outside of New Delhi, and teach in a rural school. The volunteering tasks made me forget that I was crippled :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I am excited to cook for any host, and as a host love when people cook for/with me ! The myth of Italians needing pasta for their survival is also very accurate. I love to teach people what I know in the kitchen, but also photography or language related skills.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I might have mentioned cooking a lot here, but I really do enjoy giving back this way, and I think it creates a comfortable atmosphere of home in which it is possible to get to know people with greater ease. I love animals, and I can help look after an house pets. I can also help with cleaning and am very unfussy about any sleeping arrangements. Generally, I can offer easygoing vibes and cleanliness.
