Hi! I’m Gaia, I’m a 18 year old Italian student. I love travelling and getting to know new people and cultures. I’m an active person: I like running, swimming and hiking. I’m outgoing and cheerful, and I love being out in the nature.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing would allow me to have a unique opportunity to experience a side of the country I wouldn’t experience as a ordinary traveler: by living with and interacting with a local, I’d have numerous opportunities to explore the local area and interact with other locals and get to see the real side of the country that I’m in.
I also feel like heading to an unfamiliar place on my own would force me to step outside of my comfort zone and interact with others in order to make new friends.
After my first Couchsurfing experience, I’ll get back to school enriched of memories, skills and new experiences. My will to travel will have improved, and so will have my love for foreign languages.

Interests

I enjoy being outdoors, being with my friends, going for walks, visiting places I have not been to, and reading a good book. I also enjoy listening to music.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to different genres of music, but the ones I prefer are pop and Italian rap.
As long as reading is concerned, I’ve always read a lot, since I was 6. I read about 50 books in a year. I always try to find a little time to read. I prefer books based on true stories, but I enjoy discovering new types of books.
I’m not really into movies, but I like dramas. I watch lots of tv series.
