About Me

Ciao! I'm Gaia and I'm a 23 (soon 24) yo florentine girl who has just graduated from University of Florence. Hopefully, I've just moved in Berlin, so if you have any tips about the city, or you just wanna hang around there, I'm here! I hope I can say that I'm quite an open-minded person, and I would love to meet new people who want to share their stories and experiences. I'm respectful of other people privacy, but I'm happy to have conversations too. I'm a smoker, but I would never smoke in someone else's house if it isn't allowed. I adore animals, I have a dog and 2 cats, so i'm used to it! My favourite thing is watching movies for sure, I'm a huge fan of practically any kind of film, except horror (well, for now!). I love to listen to various types of music (rock and jazz firstly, but I love opera, classical music and rap too) and to attend concerts.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've travelled quite a lot in the last few years - mainly in Europe, but I've always chosen Airbnb accomodations or hostels. I would like to change the perspective and discover the places I visit through the people who live there. I have little experience in this field, but I can adapt very easily, I don't have many necessities and I can stay almost everywhere, the important thing is that I feel to be able to trust you. Unfortunately right know I don't have the opportunity to host you because the house owner is very strict, but If you come to Berlin I'd be glad to visit the city with you (I've just moved in the city so I'm still dicovering it, but we could do it together!) and maybe when I'll move again I'll be able to return the favor :)

Music, Movies, and Books

About music
It depends on the mood, mainly rock and jazz music, but i love blues, soul, opera, classic, and even rap music.
About film
Practically any kind, I love to watch movies!
About books
I don't read so many books over the year, but I like authors like I. Allende, C. R. Zafon, F. S. Fitzgerald and Alexandre Dumas, or italian comics by Leo Ortolani and LaBadessa.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not incredible, but recently I've been to the Mostra Internazionale d'arte cinematografica di Venezia which I consider one of the best experiences I've ever had!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can make a fairly good tiramisu, gorgonzola and pistacchio pasta, and discreet spaghetti alle vongole.
I can help you practice your italian if you're studying it, and since I can't practice the other languages that I've learned, we could speak in spanish, french and german too!
P.s: I have Spotify Premium, so we could share every type of music you like! :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Since Ryanair doesn't let me carry liquids on the airplane I can't bring with me Chianti wine or our typical Olio Extravergine di Oliva, but I can always bring some pecorino cheese, a biscotti di Prato packet or homemade pasta!

Countries I’ve Visited

England, France, Germany, Ireland, Morocco, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Tunisia

Countries I’ve Lived In
