Hello! I'm Gail, I'm 23 and I live near Glasgow. This year, I'm trying to travel more, and I'm kickstarting that by interrailling around France for two weeks. I've never been to France, and it's been really difficult to choose which areas I should go to.

But, I've decided on Grenoble (Where I'm flying into, and going back to on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th February), Toulousse/Carcasonne, Marseille, Nice, Lyon and Paris/Versailles.. Hopefully I'll be able to practice the French that I know, learn more about France and meet some new people :)

I learned how to snowboard last year, which is what I'll want to do in Grenoble at some point, and I also finally started learning how to surf. I also used to fence.

I run a blog, over at www.sherbet-aurora.co.uk where I write a little about travel, languages, and lifestyle. Occassionally also restaurant reviews.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It was suggested to me by a friend, and I really love the idea of getting to know more people through it! This will be my first time travelling alone, so I think that if I'm able to meet people through something like this then it'll be less lonely and make a fun experience into an amazing one.

My favourite film(s) are Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure/Bogus Journey. I have a tattoo on my left wrist quoting "Be Excellent To Each Other" from the films.
I really enjoy action, comedy and science fiction.

Musically, I pretty much enjoy everything. My favourite band is McFly, but I also really like The Pierces and My.
