ABOUT ME
I'm a guy who wants to live somewhere peaceful near a stream of water with the people I love.
I try to live my life without worrying too much about things that don't matter (and I realize that is a very relative and changing concept).
PHILOSOPHY
Never walk through the marked path for it leads only to where others have already been.
(Subcomandante Marcos)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Lots of different stuff, from rock to jazz, from rap to classic, passing by brazilian and all sorts of regional music. Sonic Youth, Nação Zumbi, Cordel do Fogo Encantado, Chico Buarque, Jimi Hendrix, Radiohead, Miles Davis, Ali Farka Toure, John Coltrane, Led Zeppelin, Tom Zé, Buena Vista Social Club, Ramones, Fugees, Antônio Nóbrega, João Nogueira, Mercedes Sosa, Cypress Hill, Bob Marley, Arnaldo Antunes, Smashing Pumpkins are just the ones that come to my mind now.
Books: Latin american writers such as Julio Cortazar, Ernesto Sabato, Gabriel Garcia Marquez are my favorite. José Saramago and Jorge Amado are my favorite in portuguese. Sandman comic books by Neil Gaiman are also among my personal best. Aldous Huxley, Hermann Hesse and Samuel Beckett are other names that come to mind. Salman Rushdie's Satanic Verses is one of the best books I've ever read. Carlos Drummond de Andrade and Fernando Pessoa are the greatest poets ever. And Shakespeare, of course.
Movies: Vast field (not that the other two aren't), I like both documentaries and fiction a lot, but I'm just gonna say Waking Life.
Teach, Learn, Share
