Resumen
Sobre mí
BACKGROUND/FAMILY
I am ethnically German and Japanese, but my home is in neither country nor one continent. The family members I have chosen are in many corners of the planet, so I experience 'home' with the limit being Earth. I don't represent one culture since I've gathered bits and pieces from a variety, creating my own collage.
SOME THINGS I'VE LEARNED
Between my mom's way and the Japanese way, I learned quickly that there is never one solution to a problem. From living in Monteverde, Costa Rica, where the only common language between my friend's family and me was our actions, I realized words are not necessary for a great bond to occur. By interacting with many and growing over the years with a few, I've decided that my environment is my greatest textbook for learning; the life in exchanging energy is the best way to grow.
THE BEST PART
My goal for my 20s is to be a fierce student, learning from what I surround myself with, from what surrounds me, discovering and pursuing opportunities, and giving value to people.
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
In a world where we think we can get anything we want by making and spending money, we forget the magic in giving and receiving. I believe money does have its value, and individually we create the acceptable balance between solving problems with money and other means. I try to seek out opportunities to practice giving and receiving. More times than not I end up with a great experience.
I believe listening is a key tool for experiences, curiosity, creativity, respect, balance, and unity. What better way to put this tool to practice than exposure to the many levels the art of listening has?

Algo increíble que he hecho
In 9th grade, a friend told me after skyping her parents that they couldn’t make enough money to bring her home for Christmas. It had been 2 years since she had seen her siblings. I told her she was an artist and listed the school events coming up where an abundance of family and friends would come to visit. I convinced her we could make and sell enough jewelry and artwork to fund a plane ticket home. We made enough for two! I was gifted an amazing second family through the experience.
Enseña, aprende, comparte
I want to look back on my life and see how I grew. I believe we all sustain one another, so I want to experience as many encounters with life as possible.
I love sharing ideas. Right now, I'm researching a lot on things I think would be good tools to have (like how to learn a second language faster, improving memory, ways to use the most of my time, meditation, etc.)
Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones
I can and want to share a lot. However, it is hard to write down exactly what I'm willing to share since that depends on what WE feel like sharing.
But I will say I can listen. I love to listen.
